With a fascination for process, Matilda conducts an ongoing playful inquiry into the use of her materials, being driven by
their strengths as much as their limitations. All pieces are handcrafted and feature the subtle nuances of
a custom-made object.

Matilda is inspired by both the natural and man-made worlds, in their full spectrum of life and death, perfection and
deterioration. She enjoys the beauty which is held and expressed in growth, corrosion, erosion, patination and transience.
She also draws inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, architecture and the industrial revolution, mechanical
parts and utilitarian objects.

In her work the spheres of the natural and the manufactured overlap to form timeless pieces
where unusual organic forms are juxtaposed with clean cut industrial edges. 

Sustainable and ethically sourced materials combined with timeless design and quality fabrication are at the core of Tilda Sparrow Designs.

We are committed to sourcing recycled metals, hand-mined Australian gems and gold. All designs are made using only
solid metals. We do not offer plating due to the environmental impact, and as we are producing quality heirlooms, built to
last a lifetime and beyond. Each piece is individually handcrafted in a solar powered workshop on the
Sunshine Coast, Australia.

All packaging is eco-friendly luxe, made from renewable resources and fully biodegradable.
